H&H ACADEMY PTY LTD has delivered English language education from Hornsby since 2021. H&H Academy runs adult programs for people who need a clear result — a visa threshold, a university condition, AHPRA registration, or the confidence to speak up in a Sydney workplace without rehearsing every sentence first.

PTE Academic, IELTS, OET, and General English for working adults
What we actually do in a lesson
Most learners arrive with a number in mind: PTE 65, IELTS 7.0, OET B in writing. Fair enough. Our first job is to find out whether that number is realistic on their timeline, and which skill is holding them back. A nurse with strong clinical vocabulary may still lose marks in PTE read-aloud because consonants disappear under time pressure. A graduate with excellent reading may write Task 2 essays that never answer the second part of the prompt.
Lessons are not lecture theatre. Coaches explain the task, model a response, then put the timer on. Errors get logged — not waved away with “good effort.” If your summarise-written-text drafts run to ninety words when sixty is the cap, we fix that before moving to essay structure. If your IELTS Part 2 long turn collapses at forty seconds, we work on note-taking that survives nerves.
Between sessions you use the H&H Practice Portal. Assignments have due dates. Missed homework means the next class revisits basics instead of advancing — which wastes your money and our time.
We will tell you if you are not ready to book an official test. Paying Pearson or IDP before your mocks stabilise is an expensive gamble. A candid “wait two weeks and fix listening spelling” beats sitting too early.
- Skilled migration applicants — PTE or IELTS preparation aligned to Department of Home Affairs minimums stated in your invitation or advice letter, not rumours from a Facebook group.
- International students — meeting conditional offers, then building academic English for tutorials and group assignments.
- Healthcare professionals — OET coaching for nursing, medicine, and allied health registration pathways.
- Residents already in Australia — General English for interviews, ward handovers, and emails that sound professional rather than translated.
- Referrers — education agents and employers who need accountable preparation with progress they can track.
Mocks, portal work, and the weekly cycle
Full mock assessments run on official timing where practicable. Afterwards you receive a section-by-section debrief: which item types cost marks, whether you ran out of time, what changes go into the next fortnight’s plan. That cycle — practise, measure, adjust — is how scores move.
Portal modules mirror classroom priorities. PTE learners might drill repeat-sentence pacing one week and reading reorder the next. IELTS candidates might submit two Task 1 drafts for line-by-line comment. OET students record role-plays and compare them against grading notes.
Group sizes stay small. One-to-one coaching is available when the timeline is tight or the gap is narrow but stubborn — common for repeat candidates stuck on a single communicative skill.
Standards and learner welfare
H&H Academy publishes accurate program information, fees, and policies in enrolment letters and program materials. We do not guarantee scores, visa grants, or registration outcomes — those decisions sit with test owners, the Department of Home Affairs, universities, and AHPRA. We do guarantee current materials, rubric-based feedback, and a coach who will say plainly when your work would not pass muster on test day.
Life interrupts study. Shift changes, illness, family obligations — tell us early. Timetables can sometimes flex. What we cannot accommodate is repeated no-shows without notice, or homework submitted by someone other than you. That breaches integrity and may end enrolment under our Terms & Conditions.
When Pearson, Cambridge, IDP, or OET update formats, we revise lesson plans and portal content. Learner comments on pacing and clarity are reviewed each term and used to improve program design.
What progress looks like week to week
You should leave each session knowing the next three tasks on your list — not a vague “keep practising.” Portal homework has due dates. Mocks land on the calendar before you book Pearson or IDP. When a sub-score stalls, the plan narrows: maybe only PTE read-aloud for five days, or IELTS Task 1 graphs until the overview sentence is automatic.
That rhythm matters because most learners here are employed. A plan you cannot keep is worse than a slower one you finish.
Starting with H&H Academy
Book a consultation — phone, video, or in person at our Hornsby learning centre. Bring your target score, deadline, and any previous result slips. We may set a short diagnostic across listening, reading, writing, and speaking. You then receive a proposed study plan: program length, weekly contact hours, portal access, mock dates.
Enrolment confirms once you accept the plan and complete administration. From there your coach owns the curriculum sequence; you own the hours between classes. Agents and employers enquiring about group placements are welcome — subject to capacity.
